This Blog should be a kind of 'new beginning' of my second start at BAPP, because a lot of has changed in my workplace.
The last year was really exciting and amazing for me: I have gained a new title as a Junior Art Director in an Entertainment Agency called Welldone. Including the new position, I have a lot of responsibility and work to do in our office. Before I get further to explain, how my daily routine looks like, I want to inform you a little bit more about our agency and what we are exactly doing.
We as Welldone are an Agency who works with musicians from Universal Music and brands in general. To be precise, we are the interface between artist and brand and our main purpose is to develop and create a concept by showing our clients how perfectly they match together. The biggest deal we set up this year was a sponsorship of the brand essence (a make-up line for young women) who supported Justin Bieber on his world tour.
This poster is what we did for essence to promote Justin Biebers world tour. I guess it was a very good experience to be a part of it, unfortunately I missed his concert in Frankfurt, GER because of sickness. But I met him once when we did a acoustic concert for him in THE SQUAIRE which is also the location of my workplace.
Now I want to explain my part of the whole story with Bieber, essence and other brands I work with. My part of the process at Welldone is to design/create a 'marketing deck' of the current artist we want to promote in purpose to present it to brands.
The first steps I take is to think about what the brand does. I do a lot of researching, comparing and at the same time I have to remember all the single design elements that the brand uses to optimize my 'presentation' (that's how we call the 'marketing deck') for the brand. This point is very important because it's the first thing that the company sees and when the style of the presentation fits with their CI (Coperate Identity) it is better for them to imagine how good it looks like working with Bieber for example.
The whole process between the beginning of research, until the final print of the presentation can take a whole week or two. It depends on what kind of brand we want to work with and how much I know about the artist's biography and therefor to present him/her in the proper light. It is a lot of work for me to do and costs me a lot of time, though every day at the office reminds me of what Confucius has said a long time ago: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
His quote definitely speaks to me.

A good reminder to us all - you have really embedded the BAPP Arts ideas into your work - now it is about explaining this process. Bw
